Unjustifiable

Justified text on websites should be illegal. It's simply hateful. To reach enlightenment on this subject, say the word 'Justified' ten times in a row while thinking of Justin Timberlake.

Joseph says:
Did you know I own the domain name rights to unjustified text? (It's a pun you see.)
One day I'll get round to it...
Virginia says:
But Joseph, you are one who sins in this regard. Admittedly, it's not such a problem over the longer line-length, but... jeez.
Khoi Vinh says:
Actually, what's really a shame is that our expectations for browser-rendered typography are so low that we would rather throw out the idea of justified text altogether than expect it to look good. It's not my favorite style for setting a block of text, but it's a legitimate typography method that we, as designers, should have as an option. I'm waiting for the day CSS (and browser support) gets advanced enough to justify text as intelligently as InDesign (or FrameMaker) does. At that point, it won't be such a sin. In any respect, Drawn.ca is still a fantastic Web site, even though you're right about the text justification looking terrible.
