The Hard Rock Café Tour of The World
17 March 2004

On the 16th of June, S & I head off on a five-week whirlwind tour of the world's most expensive cities. The itinerary, in a nutshell, is Melbourne > Sydney (grr: 1 hour) > San Fransisco (three days) > New York (10 days) > London (a week) > Paris (a week) > Melbourne (forever, tied to desk by massive credit card debt).
Any suggestions of places to visit (particularly design- and art-related places, and good music venues) would be most gratefully received... Also, news of design conferences / seminars in these cities (or anything which would help me to make an appropriate tax deduction of my, ahem, holiday) is very welcome.

Bob Wyatt says:
I'm a friend of Chong's and, very indirectly, a friend of Sophie's, as I am the publisher of THE RED TENT. It would be swell if you looked me up or wrote before coming to NYC. I'd like to get together with you. But not now. I'm in a rehabilitation center with a broken hip after a close encounter with a truck. On we go.

I hear Venice is superb at that time of year. ;)
