The Groin Room

Last night I went along to a live taping of Critical Mass at the ABC, and was nearly bowled over by the imposing, handsome and always-controversial Germaine Greer in the corridor – she was in search of the Groin Room, haha. I've been a fan since reading the Female Eunuch when I was fifteen, and although she sometimes misses the mark spectacularly, she's also responsible for starting some of the great dinner-party debates, and a few international ones as well.
In a week where Australians have voted so conservatively, it was heartening to be in the presence of such an uncompromising and articulate intellectual figure. Her Critical Mass appearance screens on ABC late on Sunday night (it's also repeated the following Sunday afternoon), and is definitely worth a look.

Stitz says:
I watched Virg and must agree. Greer is a striking woman and unmistakably handsome. I must admit to enjoying her sparky debate on the box. Ah Germaine's at it again...
