The First Post(s)

As seemed certain to happen, I've now set up my own site but have nothing to put on it. All opinions, thoughts and even, somewhat startlingly, memories of Life Before Alert!_log, have gone from my head. I'm a clean slate, a blank sheet, an empty road stretching into distances either side. So I've done research into the phenomenon of First Posting, and discovered the following, from my favourite / most regularly visited blogs:

Loobylu's first (available) post – scroll to the bottom of the page
Khoi Vinh's first post to Subtraction using a weblogging tool (Blogger)
AntiPixel's Test Post (heehee, that was a good icebreaker, wish I'd thought of it)
A middle-period Zeldman, which proves that orange has always been his favourite colour (do you think he will ever tire of it?)

Of course, there'd be a million others. At least. Anyway, my plan, at this point, is to fill out my links sections a little, and then start posting regularly... if only my brain returns.
