I've finally got around to installing a Movable Type plugin that will automatically close comments on all my archive pages, meaning that only current posts will be commentable. It's kind of regrettable, but I've been spending ten minutes every morning de-spamming with MT-Blacklist, and it's a waste of my time. Maybe if I spent that time writing blog posts instead...
