Rain
4 February 2005
Just in case anybody was under illusions about the strangeness of Melbourne weather, I have this to say: on Monday, it was somewhere around 35 degrees - mid-90s, for those of you still stuck in the Fahrenheit dark ages. Tuesday, it was 33(91). Wednesday - wait for it - it was THIRTEEN (FIFTY-FIVE). And then, from Tuesday evening until Thursday morning IT DID NOT STOP RAINING, leading to all kinds of mayhem and Melbourne's wettest day on record - over 160mm of rain in some areas (that's something like 12 times the amount of rain we had for whole of last February, if that's any indication). It's all pretty cool, even if it's, like, all because of global warming.
