I've never been a big fan of the pop ballad, but my half-brother-in-law gave me a Rufus Wainwright disc for Christmas that features Memphis Skyline, his song for the late Jeff Buckley, and in all its shamless emo-ness it pretty well captures that horrible pit-of-the-stomach feeling I remember from the day I heard he was missing.
