Leaving aside the scientific legitimacy of this data, I'm amused by the variant feelings expressed by Mac users BEFORE Steve Jobs made the big announcement and AFTER he made it. Two days ago, Intel was part of the Evil Empire; now that they're going to be running our beloved iMacs and Powerbooks and Mac Minis, and that Intel has Steve-o's stamp of approval, we're right behind them.

Again. Evidence that Apple have their customers under just the sort of control they want/need.

Now I love a good Mac as much as the next personage, but jeez they've managed to build some brand loyalty despite slowly becoming part of the evil empire...

But then again - they's just so purdy!

Peter says:

Well spotted.

Lemmings, anyone?

While we're on this topic. Interesting article in today's Age about the environmental performance of major computer companies.

The report by Environment Victoria places Apple 5th of 6 companies, scoring a total of 31.5 points (out of 100) for environmental performance.

Interestingly enough, IBM came in third with 64 points.

Dell was top (78.5) and Toshiba last (22).
