A Good Day for Walking Slowly

Yesterday was one of those difficult days that Melbourne throws at us a couple of times a year – overcast, windy, and 38 degrees C. As somebody noted, when we lowered shoulders into the gale and half-closed our eyes against the grit blowing up off the dry streets, it was a good day for walking slowly.
The other thing it was a good day for was watching the cricket but as has been the case for a long time now, it didn't offer much in the way of excitement – Australia set massive total for the Indians to chase, and then went about destroying their opponents in a fairly clinical manner.
